County safety update

As of May 7, Parkland County's fire ban remains in effect and spring road bans continue across many County roads. Outdoor fires, recreational fire pits, burn barrels, incinerators, and charcoal barbecues are not allowed until further notice, and all fire permits are suspended. Gas and propane appliances are still allowed. At the same time, road weight restrictions are expected to continue through the end of May to help protect soft roads during the spring thaw. This is a good week for rural households, farmers, contractors, and haulers to review travel, hauling, and burning plans before heading out.
