Library Groundbreaking

Pender County is holding the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Hampstead Branch Library at 10 a.m. at 15146 U.S. Highway 17. County leaders say the new 20,000-square-foot branch was shaped by community input and is planned to include larger children's and teen spaces, meeting rooms, study rooms, and an outdoor courtyard. For Hampstead families, this is a major step toward a bigger and more modern public library designed to serve the area's continued growth.
