May Road Work Ahead

Richfield residents should expect transportation activity to pick up this month as utility work moves ahead on major 2026 projects. The city says private utility relocation is scheduled in May for the Sheridan Hills Safe Routes to School project and for the Nicollet Avenue reconstruction corridor. The Sheridan Hills project will add new sidewalks and intersection changes near the school, while larger Nicollet construction is planned to follow later in the season. This is a good month to allow extra travel time and keep an eye out for changing traffic patterns near those work areas.
