Fountain, COMy advice is to compare newer homes against the best resale homes before you let a finish package drive the decision. In this market, the numbers change quickly once square footage and lot size change.
Recent active and pending homes show that clearly. There is a 2020 home at $480,000, a 2020 home at $418,000, and a 2023 pending home at $519,000, which means newer inventory can climb fast.
A newer home is not always the better deal. The closed set also includes a 2022 home at $415,000 and a 2017 home at $545,000, so the monthly payment needs to make sense before you chase the latest build.
Compare finish level, lot fit, and space with the resale options that are already proven. Then decide whether the premium for newer construction is worth it for your budget.
