Library and Fire Station Update

As of early May, Walden's permanent fire station and library project has cleared a major milestone. The City's current project update says design and funding are finalized, with construction set to begin in summer 2026 at 969 Walden Drive SE. The temporary fire station will stay in service until the permanent building is complete. For Walden families, this is one of the biggest local service updates on the horizon, bringing emergency response and library access closer to home.
