Science Book Sale
The Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library will hold its 4th Annual Spring Cleaning Book Sale on Saturday, April 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Older science books will be available for 1 dollar each, along with a selection of other items for purchase. It is a good chance to support the library, pick up affordable reading, and help make room for newer science editions. Cash only.
Earth Day Art Night
Main Library is marking Earth Day with a creative program for children on Wednesday, April 22, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Earth Day Art invites young makers to use leaves, twigs, grass, cardboard, and plastic to create original art pieces from natural and recycled materials. All supplies will be provided, making this an easy and thoughtful way for families to celebrate the day.
Dia de los Ninos Storytime
South Branch Library will wrap its bilingual storytime series with a Dia de los Ninos themed session on Saturday, April 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Families can expect lively stories, a craft, and a portrait activity for children. Family Day at Emerson
A free Dia de los Ninos Celebration is planned for Tuesday, April 28, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Emerson Park. Families can enjoy an inflatable obstacle course, a mobile library stop, games with prizes, balloon animals, and live performances by Alma en Movimiento at 6:00 p.m. and the Gateway Highsteppers at 6:45 p.m. Children will also be able to pick out a book to keep and enjoy a sweet treat.
