First hurricane session
Mayor Pro Tem Heglar will hold the first of two Hurricane Sessions at Town Hall in the Council Chambers at 5:00 p.m. The session is meant to help residents get ready for the season ahead, and it comes at a good moment for families who want to review alerts, plans, and storm readiness before summer begins in earnest.
Second hurricane session
A second Hurricane Session will be held at Town Hall in the Council Chambers at 12:00 p.m. Residents who cannot attend Friday's session have another chance to hear preparedness information and ask questions as Kure Beach heads toward the start of hurricane season.
Boogie in the Park
Kure Beach's Boogie in the Park concert series continues from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ocean Front Park. The free music series runs on the first and third Sundays of the month from May through October, and this May concert is a lovely excuse to bring a chair or blanket, catch up with neighbors, and enjoy an evening by the ocean.
